I'm hearing from Doulas and Childbirth Educators in Canada and the US that hospital protocols due to Coronavirus are impacting their business. Among other things, some hospitals are limiting the number of support people at births to ONE, not allowing for switching between the support person and doula, and limiting or banning additional people in the waiting room.

While I don't buy into the hysteria, I do believe that this is impacting women that are waiting for labor to begin and are counting on having their doula present at their birth.

In addition, this can impact your business. What can you do to honor your commitment to your client, in a way that supports your business? Also, how can you begin to prepare your business for potential future issues such as this?
